Eureka!

After having put together our heads, we have come up with a title for our first collection (on the theme of medical humanities): PAIN and MEMORY. (There will be a descriptive sub-title.) We have many fine submissions so far, some from award-winning authors. We will consider submissions up to the end of September 2009. Guidelines. Or contact us at EBibliotekos@gmail.com

HARD AT WORK

We are in the process of collecting material for an anticipated book on the theme of medical humanities. We are not finished (as per the deadline of late September 2009), and we have not yet come up with a title. But the so-far book is taking shape nicely, and we encourage others to submit. Go here for more information.

We have slightly revised our original (May 2009) CALL as follows.

· Medical Humanities

· Immigration (Including International Adoption)

· 9/11 – 2011 (Including War and Peace)

· Nature’s World

· Faith and Doubt

Thus, Immigration and Adoption have been combined; 9/11 and War have been combined. Note that these are themes - collection titles have not yet been determined. More information (including submission guidelines) can be found at the website.

For a very small publisher, creating original collections is a time-consuming and tedious process, but worth the effort in producing texts worthy of reading and study for years to come. Our goal, simply, is to publish in book form voices that might not otherwise be heard; each writer's work will appear in print among good company. That's the best we can do, but we think it is enough.

Books Published so far: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. Both fully-loaded with Study Materials.
